Wearable Art

All of the clothing pieces displayed in this section are one of a kind, and totally painted by hand. The idea has been to upcycle fashion brands turning slightly used clothes into high-quality upcycled fashion statements. This brings an original piece of artwork to be worn by its new owner. It also is great for our environment, keeping previously owned garments out of landfields, decreasing waste. Each piece took the artist sometimes weeks to complete. Painting on fabric is completely different than regular painting on canvas. On canvas you can usually simply paint over any mistakes. Fabric is pretty much unforgiving. Each piece is produced using the best fabric paint possible. Fabric paint is much softer than regular acrylic paints. It tends to have a slight tacky feel on some items. This is normal and really makes the item much more comfortable to wear. The piece should easily move with your body and not feel stiff. They have been heat set to retain their design as much as possible. The tee-shirts should do well turned inside out and machine washed alone on cold.
